Default Tired of getting scammed, try this!!!

Man, I hope this thread doesnt get erased because I think this could really stop alot of the scamming going on. Well, here is my theory. If you are trying to buy something and am unsure of the seller(not enough posts,no vouches, etc.), have him post the item on ebay(every body and they mama got an ebay account). Make sure you have all the ebay info(seller name, item name, etc).
1. Email the seller your ebay name
2. Wait for him to post the item
3. Bid on the item the amount you agreed to
4. Email the seller and tell him you bid the "correct amount"
5. Have the seller end the auction early, so no one else outbids you
6. Then arrange shipping charges and MAKE SURE YOU USE PAYPAL!!(Ebay owns Paypal)
There, if you get ripped off, all you have to do is file a complaint on Paypal.
Paypal will investigate the transaction and will favor you as long as you are truthful. This should be guaranteed to work! ONLY EXCEPTION IS THIS WILL ONLY WORK WITH ITEMS $1000.00 DOLLARS OR UNDER! EBAY OFFERS FREE $1000.00 INSURANCE THROUGH PAYPAL IF THE ITEM YOU PURCHASED AND WERE RIPPED OFF WAS BOUGHT OFF EBAY!!!! I believe you must pay Ebay for additional insurance coverage over $1000 dollars.
I know this will work because I was ripped off through the infamous thepartstrader.com for a GSR head and aftermarket cams for $700.00. I used Paypal and never received the item. I filed a complaint on Paypal, and had a paypal representative email me back leting me know that they will investigate and if they favor me they will "try" and get my full amount back. They also said that due to the fact I did not use ebay to win the item, they can't GUARANTEE me a full refund. Needless to say I won the complaint and was awarded $255 of my $700 back(that was all the scamming F### had left in his paypal account). But if I would have used ebay I would have gotten a full $700.00 refund. Sorry this thread is soo long, but I hope this helps cut down the scamming. So, I think people should try this method. And if the seller doesnt want to post the item on ebay, well then I would think twice about buying it. Oh yea, and I NEED A COMPLETE GSR SHORT BLOCK! ANYONE??

you are not guaranteed your money back just because you bought it through paypal. i know many people that got ****ed over through ebay and through paypal. getting his ebay account name isnt gonna stop anything on this site, because not EVERY person has an account. Of course they cant guarantee you a full refund, because nothing is guaranteed. Buying off forums is a risky business, and all you can really do to prevent being scammed is by being careful and do some research on the seller. (i.e. vouches, or check the SCAMMERS list on the buyer/seller feedback forum. that's what its there for. other than that, all you can do is hope for the best. NOTHING is ever guaranteed. remember that.

you forgot that you should add the buy it now option, that way the seller does not have to end the auction. We should get what some other forums have on them which is a feedback count on their account...its next to their screen name on every post so ppl can use that rather than have to look thought a 25x thread
