So lets start another great debate.

I hate religion with a passion because to me its an excuse to kill someone else. I've been to a church a temple a mosque and I realized this that religion is nothing more than someone feeding the anger of a race of humans that don't have the common sense to realize that its religion thats killing us.

So if there truly is one God why the hell do we need religion. Lets just accept that there is someone watching over us and lets lead our lives.

I got rid of religion, to me the word doesn't exist anymore. Guess what it makes me happier because I can accept people for who they are. It doesn't matter if you are black, white, green, orange or a Jew, Christian, Muslim, Hindu or you are gay, lesbian or whatever. You are human and thats what matters to me, if you kill another human being then you are an animal unless you did that to protect someone. If you become an animal then you can go and live with them because you aren't worth my time anymore.

you cant judge all religions by what a few stupid people do when they misinterpret the Bible, koran, whatever.

 

i know how you feel. i'm a little bit confused by religion.

 

It seems to me like Religion is too played out by some people. Sure, I think that people are genuinely religious because they were brought up like that, which is cool and I have nothing against that at all, but I also think that a LOT of people who aren't happy with themselves/their actions or whatever turn to religion as a crutch or something that will make them 'good' again...know what I mean? It's like they think religion will erase their past and make them good people. I feel like I don't need religion to be a good person, or to have morals. Nowadays, it's even seemed like a fad in a way, like it's 'cool' to be involved in religion because others are getting involved rather than actually believing in what is being discussed. I dunno...I just can't see following that program. I could go on forever, but I'm done for now.

I on the other hand am religious. I don't know why i go to church, but i think it keeps my head on straight

 

i don't see any problems with religion. i just hate how people say that their religion is right and another religion is wrong.

 

this is just my personal opinion, but i think religion in general and the thought of an afterlife or reincarnation is just a crutch to lean on because the average person is very insecure with their mortality. other than that organised religion is just a way to control the masses by playing on the aforementioned insecurity.

 

I believe in God, I go to church, I do things "I'm not supposed to", I think whatever you believe is your choice. Just like you don't want religion and don't want people shoving it down your throat. And I on the other hand are tired of people like you saying that it's stupid or not real. Anyways believe what you wanna believe, be who are, live what you wannna live. Nobody says you have to be "religious" theirs no pressure, It's all a choice. Just have fun!

 

Unfortunately, as a Christian, you tend not to see how many nonbelievers are treated.


I prefer to consider myself spiritual rather than religious, but I do have beliefs. They are shared by precious few people, but they fit me. And I really don't give rat's ass what anyone else has to say about them.

 

Religion is weak. It causes as much trouble as it does good. There will always some dumba$$ that takes it too far.
