Default Which car to buy...

Hey guys I been looking at cars for about a month now, recently my pos 91 mazda protege gave out, and dad's going to help me finance a "new" car.

So I've got about 10-12k, and I found a pretty good deal on an 02 Accord SE with 24k miles, automatic etc for 12,500 (4cyl). I've been waiting for financing on that but at the same time looking at other cars, and now I'm thinking about trying to get an Acura TL, 99 or newer with les than 100k miles.

Basicly looking for something with some giddyup, four doors, and looks nice too. I need this car to last a good 3-4 years without major problems too, (college car and I commute to work about 25 miles away).

So I've narrowed my field a good amount to that accord, but now I'm starting to get hot for a TL.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Get a TL type S if you can find one within your budget!

4cylinder accord wont give you the giddyup you're looking for.

How much are you looking to spend. If you can afford it, theres no comparison between the TL and a 4 cyl Accord.

Ack, well I'm sort of "stuck" with this accord you see... I'd been trying to get financed to buy it for about 2 weeks and I already put 200 down to hold the car, and the guy I'm buying it from has been holding it and he could have easily sold it by now.

This is the Accord I will have by tomarrow:

This is the TL I was hoping to talk the guy down and possibly buy:

By the way, are all 2000 TL's automatics? This one says it's a manual but from what I've heard its probly a "sport shift" automatic. Reason I ask is because I think I only found 2 TL Manuals vs the 100+ automatics.

wow, looks like you got a good deal. that SE is in mint condition and has really low milage. Personally I'd rather take the accord with the lower milage than a higher mile TL.

98-99 CL (depending on engine) can cost as low as 6-7k...

Well, I haven't been able to get in touch with the guy sellin the accord today, probly tomarrow, and I just got approved for my loan, so my absolute highest I can go is 12,500, and then like 190 for licensing etc.

The CL? Haven't checked the specs on those, but right now I'm thinking I might try and trade in or sell my "new" accord then go for something else?

Thanks for feedback guys,
