Saw it last night with the ol' lady. Liked the visuals and felt that it was true to the graphic novel. The dialogue is cheesy, but that kind of "gumshoe" speak goes with Miller's Sin City . Overall, very enjoyable.

Frank Miller was given Director credit since he had a LARGE say in what can and cannot be done to his baby. Anyone who read the comic book can tell you that the movie is very close to the book. What was disappointing was Jessica Alba was supposed to be dancing topless......at least that's what was in the comic books....hahahahahaha

Correct. She's Carla Gugino. Robert Rodriguez also did Spy Kids; and he tends to use a lot of the same actors in his movies.

 

I didn't watch Spy Kids. I remember she was in Snake Eyes too with Nicolas Cage.
