Just because the guy is a religous icon doesn't mean you wish him death.. I'm an atheist and still think it's sad... but the guy is a bajillion years old and my catholic ex was acting like he will never die.. but still , sad.

I'm not a Christian, but I will be sad to see Pope John Paul die. He is a good man, and even though some of his ideas are different than mine, his striving for peace and some of the other things he has done over the years make me hold him in the highest respect.

I too think it is sad. I also had great respect for him but I lost some of it because he didn't give the power to his successor when he could. He kind of disappointed me i guess.

i was watching cnn last night, and they said he was getting better, thanks to the antibiotics, but then i changed the channel. h:
