Now I see why there aren't that many black people in Portland
 

All the barbers fvckin' suck. I've gone to 4 different barbers since I've been up here and they all jacked up my fade. The first one just didn't have a clue, second one did alright but left room for improvement, third one acted like she was afraid of the clippers and the 4th one just totally ignored my wants/wishes and did what she wanted. After the last one, I just cut the ish all off. Anybody know of any good barbers in Portland who can do a good fade?

Best place to look for a good black hair barber would probably be over by MLK.

or just cut yourself. its really not that hard to fade your own head. you may need some mirrors and a someone to tell you if you mess up. seriously, i was in the same boat as you when i moved to my new school. i went to 3-5 different barbers, shelling out 20 bucks to have a jacked up hair cut, and some lady cut my neck with the razor cuz she dug into my neck. so i was like screw it, i will learn to do it myself. or you could find a friend to do it, which would be easier.

I do it sometimes myself, but that's a hit or miss proposition. I want to find a good barber I can go to every other week and get done up right.

Nightshade-I don't have "black hair" but truth be told, black barbers do the tightest fades on earth. But the mofo's talk to damn much and charge alot

true dat! haha i had a mexican barber shop here and he's come to my house sometimes and give me a fad, he's also cut foo's hairs like shorty from wild 949 and straberry! so he was hella good, his shop would always be full. THen he disapeared for a few months and came up to my door cause he was driving by, i was like sure i'll take a fade haha, he was in jail! lol then he cut it a few more times and disapeared again...:rick: :oh:

anyways yea but black barbers are usaully better.
