Nono, you misunderstood me. I am trying to make a correlation between what TFatF did for the import scene and what this will probably do to the drifting scene. I can already hear the crunching of sheetmetal as a pimply-faced teenager trys to emulate Fujiwara as he stuffs his brand new, daddy-bought ride into a guardrail or wall.

I should have been more specific in my first post.

That's already happened. Witness the insane prices people are paying for AE86 Corollas and Nissan 240SXes.

Ah....I get it now....and I agree with you on that one. Well, it will be on DVD at the same time as it gets released here in the US, but it probably won't be a huge release.

So yeah I just watched the trailer. Someone in Hollywood's gotta have the presence of mind to to see how big this movie could get and arrange for some kind of U.S. theatrical release.

jay chow?!? :barf:

you're right... the casting is fuuuuuuuuucked up... hate jay chow soooo much

i'm guessing this movie is going to be in chinese? that's going to be kind of strange to watch. but the trailer looks pretty damn good. looks like they were pretty true to the anime, at least in terms of action and camera work.
