Default MLB: Bonds on missing the season: 'Maybe'

Barry Bonds is the biggest roid head in the universe.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2018994
When asked if there was something specific he was talking about, Bonds said, "Inner hurt, physical, mentally. Done. I'm mentally drained. I'm tired of my kids crying. Tired."

1. He decides to have spring training ending knee surgery weeks before the start of the exhib games. This allowed him to escape most of the press pressure and fans booing him.

2. Now he might take the season off.

He knows he's going to be the 1st one to piss in a cup. He just knows it. Now, if he doesn't play, he doesn't have to pee. I believe roid testing is only for active players. 1 year should be enough to clear your system. (http://www.steroidtips.com/detection.htm ... "Steroids can remain detectable in a persons system anywhere from 1 week to over a year after use.")

my guesses ...

he had the surgery only to keep him inactive.
he's been peeing in a cup weekly to see if he ever tests clean, but fails every time.
now, he's pulling this to stay inactive to pee clean eventually.

when he returns at a much smaller size, he'll blame it on his knee injury and not being able to train like he used to.

At this point I'm sure he's just doing it for his reputation rather than anything else. He has $122,463,215 in career earnings according to wikipedia.

No doubt. If he ever tests positive, his legacy is done.

I wonder what MLB would do to his HR record ... reverse it back to the other roid head McGuire?

I for one don't care since I stopped paying close attention to baseball a long time ago.

It would also be a great excuse for him to magically shrink in size now that he won't be using roids. He can just say he stopped his training and that's why he likes like scrawny BB of the Pirates when he returns next season.

there was a story in the local paper about his ex gf of 9 years. she said he admitted using steroids, and has the classic symptoms of bloating and back acne :chuckles:
