lol you must be in a ghetto part of MD. up here in harford county we have giant, mars, superfresh, safeway, kleins, food lion etc. i know kleins is a small company thats only around here cuz i know the family. but places like giant and superfresh i thought would be nationwide :dunno:

Um yeah way to miss the point. I ain't never seen a Mars or Kleins and I'm not exactly that far away from Harford county. Only a couple counties over. It has nothing to do with how ghetto one place or another is. Just for the record, the southern part of Montgomery county (Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Potomac, and very quickly Rockville too) is by far the most expensive part of the state. It's simply that grocery stores, with the exception of a few big names, exist only in limited regions.

I see that. I haven't seen any of these stores that you people are talking about. In NY we have stores such as A&P, Food Emporium, Shope Rite, C-Town. Those are the major ones here

I have never heard of any of those...so....no not nationwide.

Actually, there's a lot of cross-ownership. People feel more comfortable buying from their local grocery stores, so huge corporations may own several different complete companies, keep the names and the local managament intact, and run them like franchises. Subtile marketing trick that works well.

i used to do mad drifting when i worked at Shop 'N Save. Id also try to do burnouts (pointlessly i know) in the handicapped carts.
