When my friends and I usally hang-out or go out, my girlfriend, who doesn't drink, takes me home or her place....

If she or someone else is no sober, i don't drink, nor do i even attempt to drink. But all my friends drink and then later in the night go home. I know its ****ed up that they do, but i could never say don't do it or anything.

I was just wondering how mnay of you drink and then drive, or drink then try and sober up and drive?

 

No, and I don't let my friends either.

 

some people sober up really quickly, others are out for the count. Personally if I've had anything to drink, even just one shot/one beer, I won't let myself drive. Too many "what ifs" go through my head, even if I'm barely even buzzed.

10 years on record, 10k fine, licence revoke, jail time, endangering lives.... not worth it.

 

If I have one beer with dinner, or a single beer while out with my friends, I consider myself safe if I wait 2 hours. I refuse to drive a vehicle if I even feel the slightest off... It's simply not worth the risk, IMO

 

If im going to a party and i know i have to drive home.....Lets just say that party starts at like 8pm...I'll have a few beers but i wont let myself get trashed...just a lil buzz...then i'll just eat for the rest of the nite and i'd prolly be cool to drive by like 12 if i only drink for bout a half hour to a hour tops....I sober up fast........usually takes me about 2-3 hours to be sober and alert once again....

But most of the time i dont drink and drive....I just call Triple AAA to tow me home :chuckles:
