nah its not the winters, i just hate them. what it is about this area is that its socially and more importantly, economically depressed and young people are leaving for stronger job markets, usually in warmer places. were i to move, i might live someplace where people my age actually stay. statistic: 11% of new york state college grads stay in new york :happysad:

yeah, i know that feeling. when i was at my first college, like 90% of my friends flunked out after the 1st semester. since it was only a 2 year school, most graduated before i did. it was kinda depressing. when i transferred, most of my friends were underclassmen, most of the rest graduated in december. im only taking 2 classes and i dont live on campus anymore but it would be cool to have a few friends to call up and go grab some food and a brew with.
my one "friend" that lives nearby only calls when he is fighting with his woman or when he needs work done to his car. im gettin pretty sick of it and i usually just dodge his calls now :happysad:

my social life is decent.
but i realized that most of the people i'm friends with are just the people i lift with and play football with. not much diversity.
actually, now that i think about it, the only things i do with them is lift, eat after lifting, watch football (i can't wait for football season), and play football.
so no, i dont have a life.

i live with some of my best friends (like from 3rd grade and middle school). Not a lot of friends outside that close group, but who cares. All i need is a squeeze and a car with an interior and I'm set.
