Default Why I hate Macs :madfawk:

The powersuppy on my Gigabit G4 tower just burnt out... and the absolute cheapest price I can find for that bitch is $99 w/ $12 shipping... FOR A POWER SUPPLY?!?!?! WTF?? Most places want over $150, up to $225... I should part out and sell my computer and just buy a Mini or something :happysad:

I mean, it's served me well... that 338W power supply has, for the past 4.5 years, powered 2 processors, a Radeon 9000, 5 HDs, a DVD-RAM drive, AND has directly powered a 17" CRT monitor (The monitor actually gets it's power through the mobo). That's some decent time considering how strained it has been.

So it's roughly 100 bucks divided by 4 and half years. A little over 28 bucks per year. In the grand scheme of things, it sounds like a pittance to me. h:I'm surprised that yours died that soon. FWIW, my old Quadra 610 from 1996 is still running on its original PS. h:

The power supply to my PC died after 3 years. You fail to make a valid point.

I think he was getting more at the cost, rather than the fact that it died.
