Ok so has anyone here had their tonsils taken out? Not when you were a kid but as an adult. Only reason I'm asking is because I am getting my tonsils taken out soon and I hear it's more of a pain in adults to get them taken out than in children. So I wanted to hear some other experiences. Thanks

 

Not tonsils but my appendix. That sucked. Why do they say its worse for adults?

 

Because kids heal quicker...and aren't as matured yet. In adults it's harder to take them out cuz everything is bigger etc. Not to mention it takes longer to heal and adults have more complications with it such as bleeding more.

How does one know when it's their time.

 

LOL well 5 years ago I got tonsillitis really bad...and since then I average tonsillitis 4-5 times a year....this year alone I've had it 6 times.
