i just installed FarCry and i got out into the enviorment part and i noticed that the ground is black. theres no color at all. What could be wrong with my GPU or game? and is there anyway to fix

 

prolly not your gpu cause you'd notice stuff not there in other parts.... then again it might use something like BMimg on the ground

try updateing driect x...

also make sur eyou have the newest drivers....

after that check and see if the disk is damaged you installed from, i know that one time a texture didnt work on my computer cause the file was corupted from install....

 

i experienced this as well.. but only when all the settings were set to the highest...

i have a 6800GT PCI-E.

Try lowering the detail...

 

i had to download the patch @ ubisoft. All my detail is Highest and it works. when i did auto-detect it put all my details down to low but it works fine at the highest level.

SO everything works now

 

hmm.. that must be my problem too..
