Default Ugh-Computer Error!

Ok ....I need help...
I leave my laptop on 24/7 and it runs fine but when I go to work for 9 hours each day, I come home to my AIM signed off and not being able to sign back on and the internet doesn't work even though I have a connection. This is the error message it shows:

I run Ad-Aware SE and Microsoft Anti-Spyware so I don't know what the heck it is!
Can someone please help me?!

redownload the latest version of AIM and remove and reinstall the new version.

Better yet, fuq AIM, get GAIM. http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/gaim/gaim-1.1.4.exe

sorry....
Generic Host Process for Win32 services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
..and then all the crap about sending an error report to microsoft..
I just need to know how to get rid of it!

reformat reinstall windows install all of the standard things you need like office, aim, firefox, anti-virus, ad-aware, spybotsearch and destroy and don't forget to update windows to sp2. no more problems unless it just crashes after you install stuff

I recently did this when I went from XP home to XP Pro and I have the service pack already. I think my computer is just doomed. I think Gateways are doomed all together.
What is a good FREE antivirus program?
