laptop or desktop? which laptop?
well, as you prolly have figured out, my pc peaced out on my the other month and im in the market for a new computer. my dad suggested today that i might want to get a laptop.
thought about it, didnt think it was a bad idea. ill probably be off to a college within the next year (lets ****ing hope so, right) and it would be nice to have i guess.
anyways, what is your preference? ive always preferred desktops to laptops, but a laptop is seeming very tempting right now. any recomendations for a laptop? should i get an apple?

i was thinking of going to bestbuy or compusa or circuit city to buy one. my friend got his there, and when it broke, he brought it back and they swapped out the whole motherboard for him and got it back to him within like 2 or 3 days. seems like an easy way to replace anything that goes wrong with it by chance
why get a laptop? i would just buy a decent desktop with a LCD monitor.

I went through school up until about a week and a half ago without a laptop. I would say that it is definitely helpful having in class either for typing notes or doing "research". Our campus has been wireless since I was a freshman and it is helpful having the internet to look up things that the professor just boggles your mind on...or to pass time in a boring intro course
