The birthday girl ended up pretty drunk but not to the point of falling over or puking. I deftly diverted the direction of the quest for afterbar munchies from the potentially hour-long line at Qdoba to Charley's which even though I tell everyone I know about it and am now posting about here I am confident will remain a nicely kept secret with a short line.

Everything worked out sufficiently. I had a drunk and reasonably entertaining evening, I got my points for showing up to the birthday, and I got a cheesesteak. Right now I'm not even that hung over.
