There's this thing called an Alignment you are supposed to get once a year. Ever hear of it?

no h:

But this isn't wear because of an alignment I am pretty sure.

The way it is worn is that the section circled in red for example will be totally bald whereas the section circled in green will still have tread. It looks the same across as far as being bald or having tread. This is a bad tire, no? It does tend to wear the inside a little faster than the rest of the tire, but isn't that normal?

sounds like a swami driving the car locked up the brakes a few times and flat spoted the tires.

Did you lock your brakes up at any time? Could have flot spotted them.

Also, it's either your ridiculous driving skill or your 1600cc's of fury are melting them to the pavement.

I locked the old tires a few times and they didn't flat spot. :dunno:
I locked these for maybe not even a second a few times I can remember before I let off the brake. It was wet out too, maybe a couple times when it was dry. I didn't come down from like 50 to a stop with the tires locked the whole time. Could they flat spot that easily? The old ones never did and I really locked those a few times. Could it be the tires had a broken belt that gave them a bulge that made them round themselves off? I remember the car was shaking a little bit when I first put them on and they were a used set.

Whatever, it doesn't really matter now.

1595 hfawk:

It can't be my driving because my driving hasn't really changed much and these tires went to shit much faster than my old set and they have the same treadwear.

Maybe somebody took some sandpaper and is cleverly wearing your tires out.

a bad alignment can cup the tires like you mentioned. But it's not just one flat spot on the tire it's a couple. One flat spot means you flat spotted your tires by locking up your wheels and tires.
