I like the lighting effect you get from the pictures during a long exposure. Especially of the ones in that other thread. :happysad:

Well I particularly like these shots because it takes me back to doing something I found really interesting.

Time lapse photos are pretty awesome though. I really like em (these and in general)

I love those really long exposure shots of the North Star. They make me go WOW. h:

when I was shooting cars alot, I'd shoot the 20 minutes right after sunset, and shoot 10-15 second exposures. I like what you're doing. I about died when I saw the 120 second exposures, DAMN!

can someone explain what ISO setting is? i have a 100 and 200 option.

It is the speed of the "film".

It basically tells you how sensitive to light the sensor is. Higher the number the more sensitive it is and the faster the shutter speed can be set to in order to get good results.

Basically how sensative the "film" or sensor is to light. The higher the number, the more sensative it is. With more sensativity, more noise can be picked up. If you look at the two pics posted, the blotchy stuff in the sky is noise.
