dual media is a bit expensive.

also, when you're burning dvd movies, you really shouldn't be recording at max speed. i've had my Pioneer A05 (4X -R, 2.4X -RW) for 2 years now and it works great.

well, don't worry about speed because there isn't much difference.

4x = 13 min
6x = 11 min
8x = 10 min
16x = 9 min

it's a little bit different for everybody, depending on their drive and firmware. for 4x writing, the burn process usually starts at 1x, shifts to 2x @ 25% complete, then 4x @ 50% complete. some drives and f/w start the shifts earlier, some start it later.
