This is a new one for me (FedEx)
Fed Ex was a pain the last time for me. I looked at the tracking status, and it said "delivery attempt, no one home" I was home at the time of the supposed delivery attempt. :uhhok:
I called and complained and they told me they'd check into that, but if I wanted they could drop by the next day and put it in the bushes or behind the door, etc. if that was ok. I said, "fine." I told the guy I wouldn't be home until a certain time, and he made note of that fact.
Next day I see a door hanger when I get home. They had tried to deliver at 2:15 p.m. (earlier than before) Yeah that's late, and most people would be home at that time on a weekday.
The hanger noted that they cannot leave packages without pre-written authorization. I guess that's cool; but they could have bothered to tell me that before.
I said "the heck with it" and drove over to pick it up from Fed Ex myself. When I picked up the package it had "deliver as late as possible" labeled across it.
I found out that they sometimes use sub-contract delivery people. Makes me wonder if that's what was wrong. My past experiences with stores who use sub-contracted labor has been awful (ex. Best Buy, Comcast)
