perhaps i am crazy but it seems that you've been on vacation for a great long time. it sure would be nice if you would come back and design something new, im kind of sick of looking at the same stupid flip phones from every company. i am due for a new cell phone purchase and im sick of waiting for something different to come out.

what would you like to see? ever check out www.phonescoop.com ? theres some cool stuff out there. my personal favorite is the new LG slider for cingular.

 

i have the kyocera SE47 slider, when that came out i was wowed by it.... and since then, nothing cool has come across the shelves, except the Treo. and i dont know if i cna justify 300 bucks.

btw, im a verizon customer.

 

the thing thats cool about the LG is that it slides the opposite way as the older kyocera and siemens. it also has a qwerty keyboard.

as for verizon, they are known for not having the coolest phones. the lg vx8000 is sweet but HUGE. i think if i were buying a new verizon phone today it'd be the lg6100.

I also dislike flip phones.. even if I had the old school Motorola MicroTAC as well as the first gen StarTAC back in the days :happysad:

 

is verizon cdma or gsm? If gsm buy a phone from ebay and put your sim in it...I am looking into the MPX 300 but its so expensive!

 

verizon is cdma

in order for a gsm phone to work on any network it has to be unlocked. most cell phones are locked into their specific carriers.

and in order for it to be a 'world phone' it has to be quad band.

 

It's unsually easy to unlock phones. And on ebay most phones are already unlocked

 

sounds like you need to talk to the PR guys, not the R&D labs.

PR people decide what the phone looks like.

instead, i learned it in my mkt'ing and R&D classes

R&D = research & design = research what people want and design it.

PR = public relations = keep the public happy and make the company look good.
