Has anyone ever had their windshield cracked while driving?

I was driving to work one day on a freeway, going about 75... it was just after an ice/snow storm and it was actually a really sunny day out.

so stuff was melting and falling n`shit.

I was driving and saw some ice and snow fall from a sign over head just before me. I thought I was safe and kept driving (not like I could have stopped before it while doing 75)... anyway, as I was going under it everything got really dark and then SLAM... huge ass glacier of ice and snow fell right on my windshield. Smashed it up good. Bits all over the place, all over me. I pressed on my brakes and slowed down a good bit but then the ice/snow flew off and I could ... well as good as could be expected ... still see. I kept driving and went to work.

It cost me about $250 to get it replaced. It sucked, scared me pretty good, cost a lot. oh yea, and it sucked. the end

they'll just farm it out to a local glass company. goto the glass place yourself.
