I think the averages keep going up. I'm steering clear of these kinds of things since my ex-roomate got screwed.

There was a story on Foxnews about online auction sites fraud too, so it has got to be getting worse and worse.

He just got back to me and here's the convo:

him: woah, i acceidentally sent it from my old checkign account instead of my credit card, ill get this taken care of asap.. im so sorry man..

me: It's ok, I wasn't even going to waste my time getting pissed off until I heard back from you. I was hoping it was some small error like this.

him: it should have evened out, someone bought soemthing from me for 25 dollars, and they took 20 out now, and says it went to you.... when you close an account, make sure and get rid of all the info on paypal, haha..

me: Yes, my account does show that you paid me. I already deposited the monies into my checking acct. But today they found out whatever they did and now my PayPal has a balance of -$20.

him: well, it should be taken care of i think? keep me posted man.. sorry about this..

me: No it's not "taken care of". Now anytime I do any transaction with PayPal, i'll have to put $20 in just to get to 0. You need to get in touch with them and figure out what to do.
