Default Car Insurance Question

I tried to purchase a car today but insurance was too high. When will insurance rate decrease? What can I do?

the best thing you can do until you turn 25/get married is to keep it under your parent's policy and also try to maintain a 3.0GPA at school, if you go. I believe Insurance Companies offer 10-20% off for good student discount.

I'm insured under my parent's policy from AllState. They quoted me $6000 a year if I go solo

its not so much of a person becoming "25 yrs old" but about if they have 8 yrs of driving experience or not... so if u got ur license AFTER 16, then adjust accordingly

and insurance ratings are done state by state... so i dunno how VA does their rates.

That sucks. Insurance for me would have been $670 every six months on an '01 S2000. :chuckles:
