I got my free credit report from Equifax once but it didn't give me my FICO score. The free report is usually used to check for errors on your file. I recommend paying for the report cause they give and explain your FICO score.
Also they give you advise on what to do if you want your FICO score to go up... all kind of little trick(such as not putting all you debt one 1 credit card)

also:
This central site allows you to request a free credit file disclosure, commonly called a credit report, once every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion
meaning you technically get 3 free, 1 from each company.
