I agree. It would be something where she is excited to see that you served and made it back safely. Then she can go and write another Marine who is now in Iraq if she wants to

I say send a little note back. I don't think you're being stateside will be a disapointment.

Your right that it would take a while (at least three weeks ) to get here and back again.
