Did I say I didn't need it because I was a good driver? I am not a good driver. I just got my license and I have never raced, how the hell would I be a good driver? What does that have to do with anything? I like less stuff in my car, I like it simple, less things to go wrong, less things to worry about, easier to fix. ABS has not saved any lives statistically. The accident rate in ABS and non-ABS cars is the same.
Who the **** are you? Since when does a B16a have torque? It felt torquey for a week after the swap compared to the even less torquey D16.

We know you're a super hardcore minimalist y0, but certain electronic conveniences are nice. Oh and the C6 Corvette usually turns its fastest lap times with its traction control set to "competition mode" rather than turned all the way off.
You'd like miata.net. There's a bunch of anti-ABS apologists over there. I'm convinced they do it because ABS has been a rare option on Miatas until only very recently and they're trying to justify their purchases.

I didn't say the stuff made the car slower either. For example I know an active torque sensing type differential will make a car faster than a regular LSD. But I like to do the thinking, not the car, even if makes me slower or less safe. I'm not going to tear it out if it's already there though.
