I'm giving more thought to physician assistant--and more so than pharmacy.

Blegh. It's really looking boring to me. It's just. Bleh. I'd like more interaction with people, not...chemicals.

Not to mention the program is really difficult to get into. Everybody seems to want to be a pharmacist these days...

Actually, if you're a community retail pharmacist, you'll most likely have more interaction with people that you ever wanted.

Plus, currently, there is still a shortage of pharmacists these days, so finding a job shouldn't be hard, especially if you'll work evenings.

I always though working in radiology would be boring, sitting around in a dark room looking at radiographs or scans and yakkity yakking into a mic. A pharmacist could always get a job too.

Become a gay pron star, then impregnate a female on the set and have a major scandal and then retire to your little island with your Cuban manwhore.

Yes. Possibly. Maybe I'm reading into the 600 applicants and only 100 applicants applying, since they require to apply you have a 3.0. Well, I wonder how many of those have below a 3.8. Probably 500. Maybe.

I notice this. Maybe that's why everyone is applying for the pogram?

If I keep over a 3.8 I am going to apply for the hell of it. I don't have anything to lose.

edit: They start out at 85-90k here.

I'm concerned for the future of pharmacy. I don't think pharmacists actually do much now in larger drug stores (i.e. Walgreens), and as medicinal databases expand, I think their role will shrink further or disappear altogether. I don't think I'd want to go into the field right now. Just my .02
