:thumbdown: what do you need RAID 0 for? also a 2 drive Raid 0 isn't going to give you jack over a single 200GB with 16mb of cache and NCQ.

they make good paper weight. never feel you should use outdated hardware, just because you happen to have it.

Those vantec tornados are ultra loud. I used one in tandem with a thermalright 947u heatsink and I couldn't handle it. If you're going to be using four of them, :ugh:... But if you're working in a loud environment, I guess it doesn't matter.

ditch the HS, Fans, controller, etc. and get a custom watercooled solution, more quite, unless you like noice. I regret going air-cooling with my system. It sounds like a turbine

my antec and zalman fans dont produce that much noise
norbridge whines sometimes and otes can be obnoxious but still better than most
