No its not. They use this setup a lot on domestic muscle FI applications.

Freakin old ass repost!

And the reason they do it on some muscle cars is that when you have a V8 but only want to run one turbo, there's not always room in the engine bay for the turbo.

think of all the road spray that comes from the front of the car, toward the back. i dont know if id be good with having my air filter exposed like that :ugh:
