Rolex 24 at Daytona
Speed Channel is covering it throughout the day with a few assorted breaks for other shows.
Back a couple years ago when Grand Am ditched the rules shared with ACO (Le Mans, FIA Sportscar) and IMSA (American Le Mans) for its own format I thought they were being stupid. That first year of the Daytona Prototype class was rather quite pathetic.
They also killed off the GTS class, so now it's just the prototypes and the GT cars which are being made more like SCCA World Challenge cars than say, the ACO or IMSA GT cars.
So while the Grand Am series no longer has the cool prototypes or GTS cars like the other series, it does, I guess, make for some good racing. Some might say the France family have NACAR-ized Grand Am (they own NASCAR too) and I do agree to a certain extent, but it's still pretty cool to watch.
