Default Any tax poeple here that do taxes for a living?

Do you have to pay taxes on the money from your last years tax return? I recieved a 1099-g form with the returned amount i got from the state last year. I did not deduct the tax paid as an itemized deduction. You can not do this if you use the 1040EZ, which i did. So i'm thinking i can just ignore this 1099-G form i recieved. At least i hope so, because i've already mailed it away. I just don't want a negligence penalty or other sanction imposed on me from the IRS. Thaks for any info.

Alright. Thanks. I'm thinking i did it right, from what i read. Just like to get an opinion from an expert. Reading some of that tax stuff is almost like reading Hebrew.
