oh man, everybody will treat you with respect to your face. but behind your back, your a good for nothing type of person. its so funny though, you see these hippy people going to india to such for "nirvana" and there guides are squeezing all this money from them from the airport. they pick up your bags without asking you, and you are expected to pay them. last time they did that, i started to yell at the dude. then i relized i was an ass for doing that because, the dude life is picking up other peoples bags.

 

Don't forget the shady cab drivers, my gosh not one of them has an honest meter. Once you live there you know what a fare will be, and if you aren't from around there you can expect to pay twice as much.

i think it also depends on how long you haven't lived there... I mean in my case I have the Indian culture and what not. but if i where to go back i would not be considered Indian. From what i understood NRI are welcome because of the money they bring but they are not considered indian.
