Default wort. i just got it 'burned' off now whaT?

ok, ive had this wart on my wirst for like 8 months, and i finally got an appointment to get it removed. well they used liquid nitrogen to 'burn' or 'freeze' it off. all i remember is the docotr telling me it would blister up in 48 hours.

Well now its all red, looks like a blood blister.

Now will this pop and shoot blood out, or will it fall off?

I had a wart frozen off. It formed a boil full of puss, not blood. You're supposed to lance it with a sterilized needle when it puffs up to drain the fluid. Poke a hole in either end and allow the goop inside to drain out. You may need to push on it some. It'll fill up again and you'll need to lance it again.

And by sterilized needle I mean wiped in rubbing alcohol and then held up to a flame.

You get a sterile abcess with liquid nitrogen. The blister lifts the wart, blister pops and it heals eventually. The redness you see is almost certainly due to inflammation that is part of the normal healing process. I never use it, because you cannot control the depth of tissue destruction and potentially get a scar. A wart, being a non-malignant viral process, does not penetrate the Basement membrane, which is a layer in the skin. If you do not violate the BM, no scar. If you must lanceit, wash it with antibacterial soab for at least a 30 count first to reduce chance of infection. Once the tissue sloughs off, dress with antibacterial cream/ointment and keep it moist, it will heal much more quickly.

Nope, didn't hurt at all. It's just a bubble of pus held in by a flap of dead skin.

Tobra's the foot doctor. Me, I'm just remembering what some other foot doctor told me to do a few years ago when I had the same thing done to me.

damn, thats gross...what ive done is after showers (since its usually soft right after), you get a nail clipper and start hacking away at it...once you get that top thick layer off or until it bleeds, apply the wart remover immediately.

do this for a week or 2 and it will be gone.
