Default how can i...

you ever hear the alarm on the new cars that are out? when you arm and disarm the alarm it got a nice lil beep to it? unlike the chirping of that annoying siren..any one know how you can do that to your alarm system?...and before any one goes complaining about how this should be put in the DIY forum..i put it here since there are more people who view this page than the DIY forum. thanks

for a 95 honda accord ex

I like the chirp of BMW alarms.
I was told that its the siren that makes that noise.
Its b.s. cause I got a siren from a BMW and it doesnt make that noise.
I guess the alarm brain has something to do with it.

Wouldn't know, my Volkswagen "beep" stopped working long ago.

The alarm still goes off if it's triggered and the horn goes nuts, but the "beep" (quick honk of the horn) stopped many months ago.

No clue why.

That's not the case for mine -- it worked, then stopped, then worked, then stopped, and never worked again.

I don't mind much, the lights flash and all that to let me know that the car is locked/alarm set, and the alarm does work if it needs to.

Probably a typical little VW annoyance.

Yeah i put mine on silience... I feel guilty when it beeps in the morning as I am afraid of bothering someone. Lights are good enough for me too. Now I am thinking about getting rid of the tap/pager thing too.

Im sure some of the more expensive aftermarket alarms have different options for sounds. Like on Pimp My Ride where they recorded Xzibits voice. You should get that. LOL
