i dont hear them when the ac or fan is on, but it sucks when they get in the house

took me a week to find one that got in

I live next to train tracks.... very very busy train tracks. Several an hour go by, at all times of the day/night

I used to live across the street from the train tracks. It kept me up at night the first few weeks when we moved in. After that i slept right through it for several years. I think everyone gets used to the noises outside at one point.

i catch em, put em in a plastic container, and then put it in my sisters room, drives he nuts for like 3 days, lol

I use to have a problem with crickets getting inside my house, well, wasn't a problem for my turtles- they had nice snacks often. One summer, I went outside and did something similar to what doood said. Knocked hard on the wall where they were hiding and captured them all. Problem really was lowered since that year.

Sometimes they get caught in my basement but fail to make the journey up three flights of stairs.
