I have, but not to the fullest potential i bet.

I'm extremely bias towards SmartFTP because I've been using it for a good 5 years now.
- noop feature to keep connections from timing out
- automatic FTP detection (right click on the ftp address in an HTML format and it'll ask if you want to connect)
- drag and drop from your pc, it acts like an explorer window.
- connection, failure, and retry tones ... if i'm trying to connect to a user limited FTP, it'll let me know when a spot opens up.

BulletProof FTP is really good but not free.

Filezilla is great, free, easy, tons of features, open source, reliable, fast. No ad's or spyware crap either.

I use Filezilla.

Just wanted to point out that the "noop" or anti-idle feature is pretty standard on just about every modern FTP program. Along with the drag and drop windows explorer style, pretty much standard. And of the GUI FTP programs I've used, most also have a retry and sound features... I usually disable the sounds, but most programs still have them.

Not saying there's anything wrong with SmartFTP, I've not used it. Just saying some of those "features" are standard on just about every ftp client that people have mentioned so far in this thread.
