so i paid off my 971 balance on my capital one card. however, my statement still gets sent to my house. my dad sent in a payment check too :doh: when i told him 2 weeks ago that i got it (i use it for gas, but this month it was a lot more - so he didn't have to pay the average $70)

so now i have a 0-balance but with $926 credit (re: free money). can capital one cut me a check in that amount and send it my way so i can give it to my dad?

Maybe, try calling and telling them you sent in two checks instead of one. I'm sure they will do it to keep you happy. If you threaten to cancel the card they will probably refund the credit i think too.

 

no - out of the question. he's helped with money so much that i couldn't do that to him, especially since he obviously doesn't know my credit card is way over paid.

 

they should credit you the money back... but if they don't, I think pay interest on the amount in your account... Well that's what happened when I accidentally made 2 payments to the same MC account (Mine is TD... Canadian)...

 

call them, they will cut you a check.

 

well i called and told them, they are sending out a check in the amount of the second payment back to my house.
