Ok so a couple days ago I updated my AIM to the latest version, and I dunno what happened, but after that OE took like 3 minutes to start up. I realized I didn't like the new AIM very much so I went back to an older version. OE started up fine after that, but the next day it was slow again.

What did I do wrong? How do I fix it?

turn off the option to start IM with OE. MS refers to it as like the "default messaging client" or some shit

 

Funny because I don't see that option there. I dunno what happened to it. I know it was there before.

 

oh... well then I have no idea. My moms used to do that, I unchecked that and it was good.

My PC started getting slow on OE startup and that was already unchecked... I just exported all my address books, all my email, and then deleted the account. Upgraded OE with some MS patched and created a new account and then imported everything. Worked fine till I switched to Thunderbird. (Firefox's Email Cousin)
