playoff picks and your plans...
I can't wait to see the 2 snow bowl games this weekend. I think the Eagles will pull out the win and advance to their first superbowl in a long time, and I think the Pats will squeak out a real close game to move on. Who ever wins, this is going to be a great superbowl this year. I think this is the first time in a long time that the final 4 are solid contenders.
If the snow isn't going to be that bad I'm going to go over to a friends place and we're going to drink a lot of beer, eat a lot of food that's not good for us and watch some great games. if the snow prevents me from going out I'm watching the game by myself.

falcons vs eagles
if the Eagles jump out quickly on offense and shut down Vick by the 2nd Quarter, they'll win. if it's a close game going into the 4th, i don't think they'll be able to handle the pressure, and give up a big play to the NFL's #1 game breaker.
but ... Vick isn't used to being in snow conditions. he's used to running in a 70 degree dome. if he sits on those sidelines for an extended amount of time while the eagles dominate the time of possession, his muscles will freeze up on him. his body won't be used to performing in bad conditions.
tough call, but i'm going with the green birds.
pats vs steelers
this is a complete toss up.
on the one hand, you have the steelers. the owners of the best record in the NFL, and the best record we've seen in a LONG time. sure they have a rookie qb, but the guy has unreal amounts of talent. he looks like a seasoned veteran out there. awesome wr's, a dominating run game, strong offensive line, top defense in the entire league, this team is put together. 15 wins in a row is hard and considering 1 of them was to break the pats 21 game win streak ... even harder. now you have the motivation of being a #1 seed underdog playing at home.
the Pats don't have a star studded line up. they send only a few players to the probowl every week, their current players are mostly late round draft picks, but they win, and win with a bang. they have a complete team concept going on. new england has the best decision maker in all of the NFL on the sidelines and at qb. they have the run game, they have the passing game, they're experienced in poor climates, they're experienced in hostile environments, they've proven time and time again not to count them out.
another really close call ... but someone is kicking a 40 yard fieldgoal into the wind, with the snow coming down, and the clock expiring to win this.
my plans
try not to be too hung over from the night before so i can enjoy these games

I'm saying Steelers all the way...and I can't wait until Super Bowl Sunday. I got a 61" tv that's begging me to watch it. I'm having a small Super Bowl party with me and a few friends...I can't wait. Go Steelers (and my 61" big screen)!!!!!

Long shot I know
