Default Spec R wants to get an RSX type S

Hey guys, its been a long ass time since i posted here, but whats up to all who remember me! I'm still alive.
I posted this up in a RSX forum with no responses of yet, but i figured i give you guys a shot.

Anyway, its hard to search for threads with this kind of topic, but hopefully I dont annoy anyone since I made a whole new one. Anyway, my 2000 Integra LS sedan and its quirks are overcoming the reasons for me keeping it. Mainly, its because of its high mileage (113k, i've put on 85k in 3.5 years), its relatively low hp (140hp + i/h/e doesnt cut it, not to mention the long LS gears) is finally getting to me, and its oil consumption (1 qt per 1500 miles give or take a couple hundred miles). Its been fun building it up, going in and out of phases, but never anything unnecessary, but its time for me to move on.
At this point, I can only afford pre-owned RSX Type S's in the 16k-18k price range, at dealerships only because i need to finance, and warranty's are a good thing. Not to mention i still owe money on the Integra, approximately the same as a KBB trade in value for "good" condition (the main reason for going to a dealer).

Anyway, any help as far as what to avoid and look for when test driving these cars, as well as any other points of interests that i should look out for when i'm just scoping them out, is greatly apreciated.

Thanks for your time, in advance.

Just keep in mind that, the dealer will give you whole sale book value on the car. This is way different than the KBB value. You might want to go to a dealer just to see how much they will give you, so you at least know where you stand (with a dealer), then make your decision. Chances are you will be better off selling private, then going to buy the RSX. I have never driven the 2002-2004 RSX-S, but I just bought a 05 and love it, I can’t see it being much different then the 02-04. Good luck hope this helped.

IMO, If you want an RSX-S, I would wait another year or two when the '05's are used and buy one of them. I lub mine.
