Default the story of my day. and my snow tires.

so i went to school. it's the second day, so more new classes. but it started snowing. and i had yet to put my snow tires on that i purchased two weeks ago. they were still in the trunk. i then watched napoleon dynamite with my friend, it was the first time i saw it. i enjoyed all the laughs..

then in the snow it took me 1.75 hours to drive 11 miles with the snow and traffic. and let me tell you, my kuhmo's are F-ing horrible, i had the hardest time starting and stopping. the last stop light before costco (where i was going to get the wheels put on) the light turned yellow way before i was there, but i couldn't stop. kept sliding. light turned red 20 feet before i got to the intersection, still couldn't stop. so i had to go through it. luckily it was as ok as it could be and i made it through. then i went to costco got the tires put on. let me tell you, michelin x-ice tires are amazzzzzing in the snow. it was like driving a whole different car, i could start and stop with no problems. i love them. plus it's the first time the stock wheels have been on in over two years. i'm liking the look so far

you must have been going excessively fast if you couldn't stop in time for the light. At least too fast for the conditions. Unless you're on ice or going too fast, it should never take that long to stop on snow.

Good thing nothing happened....I guess.

Me love snow tires (for the 10th time)

I have Hakkapelitta 2s on my Civic.

I'm guessing he had Kumho 712s which are summer only tires.

I'm gonna use my drag radials as snow tires.

sounds like my day almost. went to my class in the morning, tried to leave school at 1245pm, and at 1:30pm i didnt get passed my frikkin parking garage at school. so i reversed into the garage and went another directtion where i didnt get shit traction going up hill, or even starting to drive. worse part, going down hill, a slight down hill, and when braking, wheels locked up and no traction. so i sayed f*** it, just started to go at it and i reached pep boys, to get new front tires, at 3pm. they said it would take 1 hour, and i ended up staying there till 6pm. ****ing pissed. sorry to jack your thread, but it just sounds like we had the same damn day. got pics though.
