Default Attn Linux Doods!

Can you install linux into a 1TB partition? is there a max partition size or something that would prevent installing into a 1TB partition?

You can, but make sure you use ReiserFS or ext3. Journaling filesystems rock.

I'm pretty sure the maximum partition size is presently 2 terabytes. (BeOS had a maximum of 4 TB back in like 1999. BeOS owns.)

I knew a guy that had about 10 IDE's in a a RAID 0 (not the smartest thing) but the total was like 1.4TB and that was back on Redhat 9 with ext3. About 1-1.5 years ago.

redhat 9 is getting outdated. I would use debian just to keep up with things like kernel 2.6.x.
