Default Computer Gurus: quick Video Card question

Alright, a few days ago I ordered a new computer system so I can finally play some of the new games that are coming out. I know more than the average person about computers, but I haven't shopped for one in a very long time, so my info is sort of out of date. ANYWAYS.....

I ordered a system with a Saphire Radeon 9600 Pro 256 MB video card. My computer is supposed to be ready for tomorrow and I can't wait; but I just recieved a phone call from them and now I'm a tiny bit worried. He says they recieved the wrong video card, a Saphire Radeon 9600 XT 128 MB. He told me that it is a better card, I checked their website and it is indeed quite a bit more expensive than the one I ordered, but he said he would give it to me for the same price.

I told him if he says it's a better card then go for it. He told me to do some checking on the internet and if I have a problem with it to give him a call back. Now I've been waiting for this thing for a week now and I already bought WoW and I can't wait to play so I REALLY don't want to have to wait longer for them to order the other card. Is the XT indeed the better card?

Cliff notes: Which video card is better, Radeon 9600 Pro 256 or Radeon 9600 XT 128?

You can go to ATI's website and compare the two cards. Other than memory size, the XT has this over the Pro.

-Engine Clock Speed (MHz)
-Pixel Fillrate
-Geometry Rate

videocards are kinda confusing. there are so many editions like pro/xt/gt/se etc...

usually its best to go with the flow

just run what other people are running, usually the more reviews the better since a lot of people own the card. check out the reviews on newegg.
