Anyone know where I can get a used PS2 (model #50001/N)?
I found out my PS2 does everything but progressive scan properly  It has an annoying graphical glitch where it puts weird vertical bars of interference on the screen. Besides that, it's a nearly flaw-free unit (My friend once used a madcatz controller, so the pin ports on controller port one are slightly stretched), but I really REALLY want progressive scan. Anyone know where I can get a used 50001 PS2 (with the V9 or v10 motherboard), or even a new one?
Please?

Dunno... it HAS to be the 50001 model though. I don't need a network adapter as much as I already have one, but if you wanna sell it as a set, I'll buy it with the whole setup. I'll look around and find the average price if you don't have one off the top of your head, and I'll make an offer from there (As the one I buy from you probably wont have a return policy, warranty, or the token free game with it)

You might want to try your local EB Games or Gamestop. They usually sell refurbished PS2's for a discounted price. You'll just have to check the system itself to see if it's the version you're looking for.

They have a slew of 30000 series PS2s, but no 50000 series. Unfortunately, we have only 3 stores in town that handle used game consoles. There's one last local store I'm gonna check....
Best game store ever. It's a local place called Treasure Island, and it's the Mecca of used gaming equipment. They have like every game system ever produced, and they have piles of controllers, even sometimes things like guncons and power gloves! But it's like an hour drive away...

I'll think about that man... a little higer than I was expecting to spend (I was looking around $100-110), but what would you be sending with it for that price?
Do you know the date code? It's right below the serial number...

I'm thinking Thursday... but it's a mixed bag when the guy will have his store open. Sometimes, even though he's in there, he'll refuse to even open the door during regular hours :eh:... but they got like the best selection in there, including an Atari 2600 still in box :eek3:
