i just think that its sad that people need to follow fads...i mean ive been playing with my family and friends for years...way before it was even on tv...since i was little...i mean why make a big deal..i was just stating that a fun game of cards and gambling has turned into the biggest thing now...i just find it funny...that when one 'famous' person rants about it...the whole worlds begins to play it...sorry if it offended you...take a chill pill :sqfawk:

That's a Mod. It's usually not wise to lash out at a Mod like that. Anyways, he's largely right... they even made fun of celebrities trying to catch the Poker-playing train as far back as Ocean's 11 (2001 version)

And BTW, there's a typo in your title (missed a "u")

chill pill? what in my post made you think that I was in an uproar?

card games have been around wayy longer than you were alive so what's the big deal?

the game was already popular beforethe celebrities were ranting about it.

Mod=Moderator. They're the guys that make sure we all play nice here on HAN. They have power over specific forums, and work together to keep things proper here. While they're not always right, and sometime may get just as childish as us... they usually do have the final word in things. So if you disagree with a mod, it's best to be respectful, cause they're usually quite mature people, but they wont tolerate unnecessary shit being flung their way

ESPN has been showing the World Series of Poker on tv since before there was even ESPN2. Poker's trendy at the moment but it's always been a part of pop culture to a certain extent.
