Why can't I find the 5th book anywhere locally in a bookstore. :rant:

trust me, they're there. bookstores would be stupid if they didn't cater to the robert jordan sheep.

But I want it now... it takes Amazon too long to ship it. I went to Waldenbooks and they didn't have it.

Yeah they said they'd have one in next week. Too long of a wait for me, there aren't any other book stores here that would sell that kinda stuff.

On a site note... this is bad. I got the leatherbound Ultimate Hitchhiker's guide for a certain lady friend of mine and now I want to keep it for myself. h: My paperback copy just doesn't seem to be that cool.

they lied, they have no idea when those books are coming in. you could check back in two days and it could be there. go to another bookstore. and i already have the leatherbound edition, got it 75% off.

I'll check out Carol Berg and Anne Bishop's stuff. Have you heard anything about the new Crichton book - State of fear. I heard its supposed to be really good.

thats fiction, and michael chrichton is almost always good.

I agree... although I am a bit disappointed that he is allowing them to make more Jurassic Park movies even though he only wrote 2 books.

he let them completely butcher the lost world, why are you suprised? the guy writes books to make money, or he wouldn't option his books out at all.
