thankfully, i keep my car so well waxed, its 10 years old and still looks very nice w/ some exceptions. Using good products really does make a difference, and its hard to stress to some of my friends....and they wonder why my paint looks better than their car half its age.

Oh noes....

Well it depends.

But I'll give you the full detail:
Interior mats removed
Interior vacuumed and carpet
Cup holders vacuumed/compartments vacuumed
Seats cleaned
If leather, cleaned with leather cleaner
Leather conditioned
Trunk vacuumed
Dash wiped down with cloth/vinyl cleaner if soiled
Steering wheel cleaned with vinyl cleaner to remove oils
Dash dressed with a matte finish protectant (read: not armor all)
Center stack wiped down and lightly dressed
Interior glass cleaned along with vanity mirriors

Wheels and tires washed
Outside washed/including door jambs
outside clayed (sometimes I combine these two steps)
outside washed again if clay left residue

depending on the paint:
"normal" paint in average condition gets:
medium agressive polish applied with PC
light polish applied with PC
and either a glaze(if using a carnauba wax) or klasse AIO (if using sealant)<--this step is not always performed and the use of a glaze may compromise the durability of the wax in my experience
wax or sealant

Cars in bad condition get an agressive polish or cleaner applied by rotary before the medium polish. Heavily oxidized cars may get a cleaner at the glaze/AIO step (although AIO is a cleaner and sort of a jack of all trades product--it will remove any oxidation that a polish will leave behind). The rest of the detail is the same

Exterior trim dressed
tires dressed
fenderwells dressed
Wheels waxed with collinite
Door seals dressed
Exterior glass cleaned
AIO applied to exterior glass

:happysad: I learned to work quickly. Most of the things on the list have a specific reason for the order that they are done: to minimize time.

I also forgot to put: I take the floor mats out and do them last, if I do them first or while i do the interior they usually end up with something on them by the time I am finished.
