mmm...food
So I decided to get off my ass today and go shopping.
First Stop - My friend's family has a butcher shop in the Italian Market in South Philly. Stopped in and got:
5 lbs ground beef
3 lbs bonelss chicken breast
1 lb pepper steak
1 lb honey maple turkey bacon
---------
$23.00
Second Stop - Three blocks up is a Pho restaurant and a grocery store. My friend and I had a large Pho then I went to the store and picked up:
5 lbs rice
2 bags frozen Edamame
Banana Sauce
Soy Sauce
Chili Sauce
--------------------
$11.00
all in all, I spent $34.00 for some fresh meat and staples.

I don't think it's actually a chain, just that all mom-n-pop Pho places usually name it "Pho xx" where xx is the year they left Vietnam. And I guess a lot of people left Vietnam in 1975.
Or maybe it is a chain...I dunno. :chuckles:
I just wish they had a pho joint or two in downtown Madison. There's one that I know of kinda near the stadium but that's way further than I feel like walking and parking over there sucks.
